Gulf Warehousing Company Q.P.S.C. (GWC Group) has expanded its United Arab Emirates operations with two new subsidiaries, a strategic partnership with Meydan Free Zone, and a growing Quick-Commerce network, in moves the Qatari logistics group says will deepen trade connectivity between Qatar and markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The expansion, carried out during the first half of 2026, coincides with GWC Group operating alternative sea-land and air-land routes linking Qatar with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain during periods of regional disruption to established shipping channels.
New UAE Subsidiaries and Meydan Partnership
GWC Group’s existing UAE operations are based at National Industries Park, where the company connects businesses in the Emirates with Qatar and its wider GCC logistics network. Building on that footprint, the Group established two new subsidiaries in the UAE during the first half of the year, serving the commercial trading and energy sectors, respectively.
The Group also formalised a strategic partnership with Meydan Free Zone, designed to connect company formation and market entry services offered through Meydan with GWC Group’s logistics and distribution network across Qatar and other GCC markets. The arrangement is intended to streamline the path for businesses establishing a presence in the UAE to access distribution capabilities in neighbouring Gulf states.
Multimodal Corridors Sustain Regional Trade
During the same period, GWC Group operated three multimodal trade corridors across the GCC. These included a TIR-enabled air-land route through Hamad International Airport, which provided additional options for moving essential goods and customer shipments between Qatar and key regional markets during periods when conventional routes faced disruption.
The corridors linked Qatar with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain, offering sea-land and air-land alternatives that maintained freight movement across the region.

Parallel Expansion in Oman and Saudi Arabia
Alongside its UAE growth, GWC Group continued extending its operations in Oman and Saudi Arabia during the same period.
In Oman, the Group expanded its freight, contract logistics, cold-chain, and cross-border operations. The company reported the completion of one of the Sultanate’s first frozen bulk vessel operations, marking an extension of its cold-chain capabilities in the market.
In Saudi Arabia, GWC Group inaugurated GWC Al Nakheel, a Grade-A ambient cross-docking facility in Jeddah. The facility expands the Group’s regional distribution capabilities in the Kingdom.
