AD Ports Group signed an agreement on Wednesday with Sanoat Energetika Guruhi (SEG), one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uzbekistan to develop the country’s logistics and freight sectors through multiple joint ventures and a food trading hub. The two parties will collaboratively develop the logistics infrastructure and services to allow Uzbekistan and SEG’s products access to global markets at competitive prices. The partnership will see the development of multiple businesses to offer logistics and freight forwarding services including intermodal freight forwarding, road, rail, and air transport solutions, as well as inland ports and container depots, warehousing and other logistics infrastructure, contract logistics and custom clearance facilities.
The companies will also establish an integrated food storage and distribution hub near Samarkand International Airport to enhance Uzbekistan’s food trade across global markets and drive Central Asian food security. The group signed another agreement with Enter Engineering Group, one of the fastest-growing companies in Central Asia’s industrial construction market to launch a joint venture offering logistics and freight forwarding services in Uzbekistan.
