Emirates and Kenya Airways have recently entered a partnership that will enhance connectivity and increase travel options for passengers. The partnership will allow customers to access a wider network of destinations and benefit from improved schedules and connections.
Under the new agreement, Emirates will codeshare on Kenyan Airways flights to 10 destinations within Kenya, while Kenya Airways will codeshare on Emirates’ flights to destinations in the Middle East, Asia, and the Far East.
This partnership will provide customers with seamless travel options between Kenya and the rest of the world. The codeshare agreement will also allow for easier and more efficient connections between Emirates’ global network and Kenya Airways’ extensive African network.
The partnership between Emirates and Kenya Airways is expected to boost tourism and trade between the two countries. It will also enhance the reputation of both airlines as leading carriers in the aviation industry.
Emirates began operations to Kenya with the launch of flights between Nairobi and Dubai in 1995, and since then it has steadily grown the route to 14 weekly flights, having flown over 5 million passengers through the years. Emirates is also the only airline serving Kenya with private, enclosed First Class cabins, offering premium customers a superior experience across every touchpoint of their journey.
Kenya Airways recently launched direct flights between Mombasa and Dubai offering customers 4 weekly flights. The flight from Moi International Airport, Mombasa marked the second hub, other than its Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, that the carrier connects passengers directly to the UAE. KQ currently operates ten weekly flights to Dubai from Nairobi using a mix of B737-800 and the Dreamliner B787-800.
Overall, this partnership marks an important milestone for Emirates and Kenya Airways and is expected to bring significant benefits for customers and the aviation industry.
