ID Logistics has acquired French last mile delivery company Colisweb for €25 million. Founded in 2013, Colisweb organizes last mile delivery by appointment on a same day or next day basis on two-hour time slots. Shipments can be up to 1,800kg and the service also includes on-site assembly or commissioning, as well as returns of old goods for disposal. The Colisweb offer is a multi-channel software solution offering an optimized interface between retailer, carrier, and end consumer. It has 1,500 partner drivers serving all of mainland France and works with a wide variety of retailers including in DIY, furniture, and home decoration. It had a turnover of €30m in 2021 and handled nearly 750,000 shipments.
The integration of the Colisweb solution into ID Logistics’ offers will provide an unparalleled solution in a rapidly developing market. In addition, Colisweb, which remains an autonomous entity within the ID Logistics Group with the retention of its management team at its head, will benefit from the Group’s investment and development capacity to extend its network in Europe. The ID Logistics group continues to push ahead with its expansion and has now acquired and set up a new subsidiary in the US. With the purchase of Jagged Peak, a US company specializing in e-commerce logistics, the ID Logistics group is expanding its base to the United States and its footprint in the luxury goods, cosmetics/perfume, fashion, and fashion sectors, and in e-commerce. With this deal, ID Logistics is establishing itself on a new continent, opening additional organic and acquisition-led growth prospects.
