Bupa Arabia Wins Best Life Insurance Award and Listed First on the Saudi Market

Bupa Arabia has emerged as a winner at the 3rd Annual Cosmopolitan The Daily Business Awards 2020 and this being an addition to it achieving the best result among the 31 insurers listed on the Riyadh Stock Exchange.

The company’s benefit moved from 525 million SAR (139.758 million USD) in 2018 to 713 million SAR (190 million USD) at the end of 2019. Bupa Arabia achieved the best result among the 31 insurers listed on the Riyadh Stock Exchange in 2019.

The written premiums amounted to 10.4 billion SAR (2.7 billion USD). Bupa also recorded the highest return on equity (ROE) in the Kingdom, with a ratio of 28%. The average ROE of the market is 9%. In contrast, Enaya Insurance sustained the biggest loss: -101 million SAR (-26.897 million USD) in 2019 against -92 million SAR (-24.491 million USD) in 2018. The company closed the year with a negative ROE of -183%.
