Swiss Life Asset Managers Adds Second Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund

The Fontavis ESG Renewable Infrastructure Fund II will invest in unlisted clean energy and infrastructure assets and companies. The fund will offer a globally diversified portfolio of direct infrastructure energy investments. The new fund follows Swiss Life Asset Manager’s first dedicated international renewable energy fund, Fontavis ESG Renewable Infrastructure Fund Europe. The newly launched fund complements the previous clean energy funds with a broader geographical scope.

Fontavis ESG Renewable Infrastructure Fund II will be classified as an article 8 fund under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). It is the fourth renewable energy fund in Swiss Life Asset Manager’s line-up and the second fund that invests globally. Targeting investments in OECD countries, it aims to build a diversified portfolio with unlisted assets focused on energy generation from renewable sources such as wind, solar, hydro and biomass and storage and renewable fuels. The fund has a target size of €750 million, with the first close targeted in the fourth quarter of 2022.
