As a company that operates in the Agbami deep offshore environment, we are guided by The Deep Offshore Community Affairs Group’s (DOCAG) Principle which enables us to view the whole of Nigeria as our host community. Consequently, our CSR initiatives are targeted towards ensuring sustainable development in the 36 states of the country, to include the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Famfa Oil continued to promote access to quality education in the country through infrastructural development. We have built and equipped 37 science laboratories, as well as 9 hybrid libraries (conventional and electronics). We have also improved the state of healthcare infrastructure in the country by donating 28 fully equipped chest clinics for the early diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and other chest and lung diseases.
FAMFA Oil Limited, through its Chairman and Vice Chairman, pledged the sum of $2.74 million towards combatting the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. The contribution symbolizes FAMFA’s resilience, character and strength as Nigeria’s leading indigenous exploration and production company. As the world rallies to deal with the health, security, economic and social implications of the coronavirus, it is clear that we will feel the effects much more deeply than much of the developed world. Managing a crisis of this magnitude means that the strength of our responses will determine our ability to weather the storm. Famfa Oil Limited is currently one of the largest indigenous owned exporters of crude oil in Nigeria. Famfa Oil is committed to developing one of the deepest and largest offshore discoveries in the gulf. The Agbami field has been operating since 2008 and at inception, was producing 250,000 bbls per day. Famfa Oil plans to acquire and develop other assets in the African continent, as well as contribute to the development of the oil industry in Nigeria.
